Farewell With Grace ~ For Loved Ones
Support for you as you support your dying loved ones.
The purpose for this book is truly very simple – as the best ideas often are.
The aim is two-fold:
To support you with practical ideas, tools, tips and strategies as you share the dying and death experience of a loved one
To eliminate or reduce the presence of regret in your grieving experience
In my experiences with my own precious loved ones who have undergone a palliative journey, my connection to the Divine, study, reading and more study, and my work with my palliative clients, I have gained a lot of knowledge about what makes a difference – what helps and what doesn’t. In a society and culture where talking about dying and death is not commonplace or encouraged, I feel it is important to share this information to help you.

The book is beautifully written, easy to read, comforting and deals with all the important issues ranging from the practical through to the spiritual.
It is a valuable resource for anyone close to or caring for a dying loved one.
We are not schooled in anything related to the dying and death experience, and we have become very skilled at isolating our dying friends and family from our worlds and insulating ourselves from the experience – both from their perspective and ours.
Long gone are the days when dying and death were commonplace in our communities, giving us understanding and some idea of what to expect. And of course, what we don’t know or understand, we fear.
Above all else, my aim for this book is that it be a practical tool to help you, a resource that you will return to time and again as you need some support. Certainly you can read it from cover to cover, or you may feel more inclined to scan the contents and say to yourself, “Ooooooh, that’s what I need some help with.”
There are no rules here – you have enough going on in your life without me throwing rules on how to use this book at you!
This book aims to serve you, to support you, to uplift you and to wrap you in a virtual warm hug when you need it the most.
To know that there is somewhere who has walked a similar path, who has an understanding of what you are feeling and wants to guide you along the way. To hold your hand and say “You can do this” through the crappy times (and they will be there) and “That’s to be treasured” when you see some of the beautiful gifts that can arrive through the journey (and there will be some of these too).
